Our involvement in this sector started when a Japanese airline commissioned two flight simulators to be manufactured by one of our clients, a leading UK manufacturer. As its preferred supplier we were asked to mould duplicates from a full set of original cockpit trim. Both sets were subsequently installed into the simulators, and when the airline's own engineers inspected the two simulators side by side, they could not tell which was the replica.
